What to expect on this trip
This journey is built around private access to some of New Zealand’s most remarkable landscapes.
It moves from forested ranges outside Auckland to a vast coastal estate on the Wairarapa, then onward to Queenstown and a high-country station bordering Mount Aspiring National Park. Along the way, native rainforest, regenerative dining, Pacific coastline, alpine lakes, and remote farmland are experienced well beyond the usual routes.
In the Waitākere Ranges, step into native forest for a guided sensory immersion before sharing a Māori-led open-fire meal on a regenerative farm closed to the public. On the Wairarapa coast, settle into a Relais & Châteaux estate with ten miles of Pacific shoreline. Days are intentionally open. Walk the coastline, join a working farm experience, or simply pause with nothing on the agenda.
Alpine terrain takes focus next. Queenstown brings lakefront energy and mountain views before Wanaka opens into private high country. Travel by 4WD across a working backcountry station bordering Mount Aspiring National Park, walk ridgelines above Lake Wanaka, and stop for a mountain-top picnic prepared in the open air.
This journey suits travelers drawn to privacy, open landscapes, and experiences defined by exclusive access.
